If you’re not already familiar with 48 Planks I invite you to check it out. David is a skilled wood craftsman and along with his team of wood artists they specialize in custom and unique one-of-a-kind rustic farmhouse furniture pieces consisting of dining room tables, entertainment centers, beds, barn doors, barstools, etc. They also do custom finish work in homes and installation. Their work and pricing can’t be beat! My featured paintings in their gallery also have rustic barnwood frames made by them, that fit the overall theme of my work which is predominantly rustic and rural farmlands and ranches.
They also offer individual furniture making classes by appointment. In these customized sessions folks can opt to build a dining room table or other endless possibilities. David and his crew work directly with folks to achieve an everlasting heirloom piece of furniture that can be enjoyed for generations to come at a reasonable price.

It’s that time of year again. Mark your calendar for the weekend of November 10, 11 & 12th for the 24th annual tour. This is a great opportunity to spend the weekend touring Placer County and all the wonderful artists and the various mediums. There will be painters, jewelers, wood, glass and metal sculptors, fiber artists, etc. This is a self-guided driving tour of Placer County studios and galleries; Roseville, Lincoln and Granite Bay to Auburn to Colfax and everywhere in between. I’m so excited to be showing my art at the Amador County Arts Council in Sutter Creek for the month of April. They have so kindly invited me to be the featured artist of the month. Looking forward to visiting gold country. An artist reception will be held on Saturday April 1st from 2-5pm.

Come out and support local youth art at the Sunset Event Center in Rocklin. I’m thrilled to have my daughter’s 3rd grade class with whom I do the art docent program be participating. Art is such a wonderful outlet for children’s creativity. The great thing about youth art is that it is so spontaneous and liberating. As an adult I work at trying to be loose and impressionistic in my style, while kids just get it right the first time.
